I have pondered, thought, queried, and contemplated the question… What will this site be about? I’m some one who has a lot of interests so it hasn’t been an easy choice. For example, I’ve been playing guitar both professionally and just for fun for 47 years. I’ve been what I consider a man devoted to Jesus Christ, with far too many indiscretions and bad footings over the years, but never the less, one who is still moored to the one who holds all things safely in His hands. I am a writer of songs, and apparently a blogger. A designer and builder of web sites, as well as grand staircases made from all kinds of hardwoods. And recently two very significant events shaped the landscape of my life. I’ve lost 62 pounds by diet and exercise (P90X), and I just turned 60 years old, but people say that I don’t look a day over 59 and a half.

    So then, if I’m writing about what’s to be found on this site, then why am I talking on and on about me? Well, I’ve heard it said that in order to have a good blog site, one that will attract others to read and to interact, that I should write about what inflames me. My problem has always been that I’m passionate about a lot of things. So then that’s the conclusion of it all…

    This site, chrisjansson.com, will be pointed at my varied interests. So I’ll be writing about weight loss one day and guitar playing the next; My Christian thinking, convictions, perspectives and then P90X.

    I’m doing this because I want to connect with you out there, and because I believe I still have a voice and a way of seeing the world that might just encourage someone else into paths untraveled. I want to explore, challenge, and grow… I am a teacher and a student of life.
